I post the following video for two reasons. First, the information in the video is both fascinating and important. Athletic directors across the country should take note of the new baseline test being used to help diagnose concussions after head injuries occur for athletes. As an administrator, I think about two things when I see this video. I see the video content as great information to be shared with coaches and athletic directors. I also see the video, though, as publicity we couldn't possibly buy no matter how large our advertising budget is. If you are in a position to do so and have the means, take full advantage of every opportunity you have to capitalize on exposure like this. Even small stories in local newspapers are great ways to get the word out about the fantastic things happening on your campus or with your students in the community.
