The New York Times issued an editorial this morning acknowledging that we have a serious problem with the way we do testing in the United States. The editorial is a must-read, but I will say that the NYT decries test prep as a replacement for instruction and points out that the top performing nations in the world (including Finland) do not test like we test in the US.
